Umicore and Eco and Dream Co., Ltd. sign joint research and development agreement for innovative cathode precursors in Korea

Umicore and Eco and Dream Co., Ltd, a Korean-based manufacturer of materials for rechargeable battery and environmental catalysts, have signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for the research and development of next-generation cathode precursors for rechargeable batteries in Korea. 

As part of the agreement, both companies aim for outstanding cathode precursor product quality. A joint development committee will lead the effort in the next five years.

For future co-developed products, E&D has agreed to supply Umicore exclusively.
