What you will be doing
- Lead and coordinate global industrialization projects for specific products, including finished cathodes, intermediates, precursors, and raw materials, ensuring alignment from R&D to mass production across UBM sites.
- Ensure early-stage industrialization feasibility by engaging in project teams from the development phase, assessing risks, and embedding TP targets and protocols prior to MPTR initiation.
- Allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to meet project objectives within defined timelines and scopes, ensuring continuity and resilience across the portfolio.
- Act as technical lead for the transfer of products from R&D to Regional industrialization teams, ensuring all APQP checklist items are fulfilled and industrialization milestones are achieved.
- Define and establish internal controls and external specifications for raw materials, translating project outcomes into actionable standards and ensuring alignment with internal specification and customer requirements.
- Lead supplier qualification and specification negotiations, driving raw material governance and long-term consistency across sites.
- Support quality and compliance by reviewing Management of Change (MoC) files, implementing new procedures, and acting as key contact for customer teams in case of complaints or process deviations.
Who we are looking for
- Technical degree (engineering or applied sciences), minimum Master with >3 years of experience in a Product development and Industrialization
- Experience in the field of Li-ion cathode materials is a plus.
- Excellent (near R&D level) understanding of product development, coupled to a good knowledge of industrial processes and equipment
- Able to understand and generate product quality concepts such as: APQP, MSS, ICF, CP, FMEA, etc…
- Good understanding of statistical methods
- Good knowledge of laboratory analytical methods & equipment.
- Knowledgeable in related disciplines (process control, quality control, …)
- Familiar with project management
- Fluent speaking and writing in English, other languages (such as Chinese, Korean, Polish or Finish) is a plus
- Good organizing skills
- Able to make decisions
- Ability to handle many tasks/projects in parallel (portfolio management)
- Perseverant and committed to results
- High level of reporting and presentation skills
- Good communication skills, open, respectful, convincing
- Ability to operate in a matrix structure in contact with different department
