
InterBattery 2025
Umicore Battery Materials in Korea (hereafter UBMK), a global circular materials technology company, participated in InterBattery 2025, Korea’s largest battery industry exhibition, held at COEX in Seoul from March 5 to 7.
Under the theme of “Umicore’s Cathode Active Materials (CAM) Portfolio for All EV Segments,” the exhibition booth featured Umicore’s CAM portfolios applicable across a full spectrum of EV segments, from entry to mass and premium cars. The showcase included a detailed explanation on key CAM materials such as high-nickel (Hi-Ni) NMC and mid-nickel (Mid-Ni) NMC for high voltage application, which play a pivotal role in battery value creation. Additionally, the booth provided an in-depth look at Umicore’s material development journey and groundbreaking innovations. The company also introduced its ‘Closed Loop’ system, which spans the entire process from raw material sourcing to battery recycling, along with its carbon reduction strategies to support a more sustainable future.
Furthermore, UBMK participated in the Job Fair corporate briefing session, where HR representatives and current employees engaged with prospective talents through one-on-one career mentoring sessions, providing detailed insights into the company and its recruitment plans. The event received an overwhelming response, with all pre-scheduled consultation slots fully booked in advance.
Jundong Lu, SVP UBM Sales at Umicore Battery Materials, stated, “As the EV market enters a period of development of the new technologies covering different market segments, we are actively investing in next-generation battery a material technology development to lead the future battery material industry.” He added, “We will continue strengthening our R&D capabilities and advancing resource circularity systems to contribute to building a sustainable future.”
